Any students willing to take admission in to MBBS or equivalent course outside India should be know the acceptability of the courses in India, otherwise they will face challenges later after completion of the course. Few Points a student or a guardian should know are as follows-
- Medical Council of India is now known as National Medical Commission.
- Earlier, Medical Council of India used to a provide a list of recognized foreign Medical Institutions/Universities for MBBS or equivalent course.
- But now, National Medical Commission does not endorse any list of Foreign Medical Institutions or Universities for MBBS or equivalent course.
- Guardians are advised to check the details of the MBBS or its equivalent course in the concerned university outside India before admitting their son/daughter for from the University or Institution concerned. The course structure, contents, duration, internship etc. should be commensurate or equal to a MBBS degree in India.
